The Velvet Underground and I have a bit of a love/hate relationship:

I love the bands that perform there. I dislike how it's a narrow and long venue.

I love how low the stage is. I often dislike the lighting choices utilized.

KONGOS' sold out show highlighted the things I dislike about the venue. Being sold out, I had to worm, wiggle, fight, barter, reason, and steal my way up to the front. The lighting was overwhelmingly red, and often dark. But, alas, the must was great and sometimes a good challenge keeps things interesting.
