The Pier-2 Arts Center was originally an abandoned warehouse site - a result of the city's shift from an industrial focused, to a service focused city.

Today, it houses dozens of artists, museums, and event spaces.

I learned the hard way that much of the center is closed on Mondays. Fortunately, this made it easier to snap a few photos of this incredible space.

It's an absolutely charming place, brimming with creative energy. I'd love to come back again one day and see it in its true form. However, having the space to peruse it in semi silent leisure was a wonderfully meditative experience.
